Bridget Kathleen is here!

The big day came Monday July 7th!
Emily went into the hospital at 8AM to be induced... still not knowing if it was Jonah or Bridget!
The induction went well... scary at times with the baby's heart rate dropping and threatening a c-section... but overall a beautiful success! Everything moved so quickly at the very end... the baby came really fast... less than 15 minutes at the end!
Chris' delivery skills are improving every time... he helped deliver Bridget Kathleen at 7:15pm and cut the cord... leaned up to Emily and announced "It's BRIDGET!" What a wonderful moment! She was 6 pounds 15 ounces, and 19.25 inches long... with lots of dark hair like Emily!
We are all so thrilled and just in awe of our little GIRL!

Here are some pictures... but there are MORE in our PHOTO ALBUMS (so don't forget to go check those out too!)...

May... June... and some July 2008

It's our last month as a "family of four", and we've kept really busy!

For Memorial Day we went up to St. Augustine... visited Marineland (not much there!), the lighthouse, and the Fort (Castillo de San Marcos) in St. Augustine...

Chris has kept busy working really hard on the house. He removed an ugly sliding glass door, framed in the wall... exterior stucco, interior wall... and now we have a gorgeous new bookshelf on that wall! Good work, Daddio!

Jacob's been keeping busy with vacation bible school and swimming lessons!

And both boys are enjoying their summer at The Spring...

We also had a great, but quiet, 4th of July... wishing for a firecracker baby wasn't enough... Bridget wanted to come on her own schedule!

FUN trip to St. Louis and Chicago

We just got back from a FABULOUS family vacation to the midwest. We toured all around... from St. Louis to Chicago and had a great time!

We started out touring the Anheuser Busch Brewing Company...

Then we drove to Jefferson city, Mo and toured the State Capitol building of Missouri...

We then drove up towards Iowa... and along the way we stopped at the Mark Twain caves in Hannibal, Mo...

We went to visit the Herbert Hoover house and grave site in West Branch, Iowa...

Then we went up to Chicago! We took a fantastic bus tour and saw lots of great sites...

And saw some awesome views from the top of the Sears Tower...

That night we went to a Cub's game... and Chris even caught a FOUL BALL!

We also took a boat tour of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan...

... and got soaked from the splashing waves on Lake Michigan...

The boys loved staying in hotel rooms...

After Chicago we drove down to Springfield, IL and toured the State Capitol of IL and saw lots of Abraham Lincoln sites too...

The last night we headed back to St. Louis and had a fantastic view of the Arch from our hotel...

We went up to the top of the Arch in the tiny little cars...

And had some amazing views...

Then we took a fun Riverboat Cruise up the Mississippi River...

Time to say goodbye to our rental car...

We had such a great trip!
